Welcome to Footbeen. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Footbeen mobile application and the footbeen.com website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Footbeen.
1. About the Service
Footbeen is a mobile application that lets you track football matches you have attended in person. You can mark matches as visited, see the stadiums you have been to on a map, and view personal statistics such as win rates, goals, and season-by-season trends. The Service covers 176 leagues with match data going back to 2010.
2. User Accounts
To use Footbeen, you must create an account. You can sign in using:
- Apple Sign In
- Google Sign In
- Email with a one-time passcode (OTP)
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your account credentials confidential. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. User Content
When you use Footbeen, you create content such as match visits (marking that you attended a specific match) and stadium visits. This content is associated with your account and stored on our servers.
You retain ownership of the data you create. By using the Service, you grant Footbeen a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service to you.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written permission
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
- Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
5. Third-Party Data
Footbeen displays football match data, league information, club details, and stadium information sourced from third-party providers including API-Football. This data is provided for informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that all match data, scores, or fixture details are complete or error-free.
You may not extract, reproduce, or redistribute third-party data displayed in the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
The Footbeen name, logo, design, and all original content on the Service are the property of Footbeen. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without prior written consent.
Club names, logos, league names, and related trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used in the Service for identification purposes only.
7. Availability and Changes
We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to us or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Footbeen and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
